Tabletop Scotland Recap

Last weekend we were at the Highland Centre in Edinburgh for the Tabletop Scotland convention. It was the second year it’d been held in this location, and the small teething issues of last year were ironed out. It was well attended, and, as always, it was nice to meet supporters old and new!

Don’t I look happy?

For info, you’ll see us next at LICAF - The Lakes International Comics and Art Festival, in Bowness-on-Windermere from Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th September 2025.

Fulfilment Update

Please find the status of Kickstarter projects in fulfilment below - please note, the percentages are rewards that have been sent, and does not mean you should have your reward already.

  • Lady Enigma - due October 2025 - fulfilment 100% complete.

  • Powers Fearful & Divine 4 - due October 2025 - fulfilment 61% complete - rest being posted this week.

  • ITTO One Shot - due November 2025 - fulfilment complete.

  • Bats in the Attic - due December 2025 - fulfilment complete.

  • Innsmouth: The Stolen Child - due February 2026 - Late Pledges here

Comic Scene Awards 2026

You can still vote for Blue Fox under the Best Crowdfunder / Indie Comic - we have three nominations!

  • One More Year (Writer: Simon Birks, Artist: Pietro, Letterer: Rob Jones)

  • Shadow Over Innsmouth (Writer: Simon Birks, Artist: RHStewart, Letterer: Lyndon White)

  • System Error (Writer: Phil Chapman, Artist: Phil Chapman)

Plus, under the Comic Creator of 2025 (Script, Art, Lettering or Colouring) category, our very own Rob Jones is going toe-to-toe with some comic-book titans (not that he isn’t one)!

If we do win an award, it’ll give Blue Fox (and Marielle & I) a massive boost!

Obviously, there are a bunch more fantastic creators, comics and shops to vote for, so head on over and pick your winners!

Live: Systemic Kickstarter

The Systemic Kickstarter is still live and closing in on its funding goal.

I’ve got a story called CO-N-DO in it, with art by Nina Poulston, and letters by Rob Jones - cover below.

beehiiv - Partner Program

As you may be aware, we recently moved away from Substack and onto beehiiv as our email platform, and, quite honestly, I think it’s very good.

As well as hosting our website, it also gives me lots of information that was hard to find previously, and has good monetisation options going forward.

Why am I telling you this?

Well, if you’re looking at using an email platform, then I have a link which will get you a 30 day free trial and 20% off for your first 3 months (and we earn a commission).

If that sounds okay, use the button below to find out more.

Thank you for reading until the end!

Speak soon and stay safe,

Simon
